I have no excuses for not updating, just pure laziness. I was in NYC last weekend for Canada Day to do a little shopping. I was at Rockafeller Center and Times square and had to stop by Magnolia Bakery. I've only seen Magnolia's cupcake cookbooks in stores but I knew I had to go and try their cupcakes. I mean come on if they have a cookbook they must have amazing cupcakes! I was so excited, as soon as I saw the sign I was running towards the shop!

Such a cute little store!

Magnolia also has muffins, cakes, pies, cookies, and plenty more!

Such a cute little box!

On the left hand side I got the Hummingbird cupcake which is a banana cupcake with pineapples & pecans topped cream cheese icing topped with more toasted pecans. On the right my sister got their Devil's food cupcake which was a super rich chocolate-y cake with a white chocolate butter cream frosting. I really liked my hummingbird cupcake, it was super moist and I love the pecans in it. The frosting for me was a little too sweet or maybe cause we had cupcakes at 10 in the morning! My cupcake was so yummy that even my mom said it was good and she hardly likes to he sweets! My sister LOVED hers, it wasn't surprising since she is a complete chocoholic!
My mom had a blueberry crumble muffin and my aunt had the poppy seed muffin with a lemon glaze. The blueberry muffin was super moist and the crumble was delicious. The poppy seed muffin was a little dry, nothing special.

So if you're ever near Times Square, it's only a 5 minutes walk to Magnolias!
