The first time I heard about Famous Dave's was on the food network when they had BBQ challenge/showdown. We were in Time Square looking for some lunch and when I spotted Famous Dave's I HAD to try it!

As soon as I saw "Texas Beef Brisket Sandwich" (Piled high with hand-trimmed, hickory-smoked Texas beef brisket) on the menu, I knew I had to get it. Why? I have no idea, I just have this weird obsession with brisket cause everything I see someone on TV eating it my mouth turns into Niagara Falls! I was no disappointed at all with my meal! The beef was so tender and not too fatty. My choice of side was the cream coleslaw, SO GOOD but it was about 600 calories for that little bowl!

My mom, aunt and sister shared the XXL Ribs, "The Big Slab", which had 12-bones. The ribs were served with cornbread (LOVED!), corn on the cob and two sides. You could pick from 10 different side dishes, they got green beans and mashed sweet potato. I had a bit of everything on their plate (BUT I shared my plate too!), I thought the ribs were a little dry and too salty for me. The sweet potato was really weird cause it was SUPER sweet, more like a dessert but I REALLY LOVED the cornbread cause I love cornbread!
But seriously, WHO CAN EVER FINISH "THE BIG SLAB" BY THEMSELVES?! We were all stuffed to the brim after and we still had food left on our plates!

We also got a salad, clearly no vegetables on the plates! Even this salad had bacon & eggs...it was alright, nothing special. We got olive oil & vinegar cause we didn't wanna be super fatties!
